just thought id say, finally after reading lots in this forum and PH. Ive brought a Mk1 eunos 1.6 1989/90 in red with the LSD etc. mechanically its fantastic (maintained by my neighbour) had everything done inc all new brakes cam belt etc. also has proper roll bar/ harness hooks. the only thing wrong with it is a little ding in the passenger side front wing and and also needing a little paint on that wing and the boot as the laquer is starting to flake. paid £900 with brand new mot and 6mths tax!!

so what do we rekon bargin?

Regards
Matt

Bargain! Very similar to what i bought in terms of price and the bad points. A car, with all the engineering etc that has gone into it for under a grand has to be a bargain, let alone an mx5! enjoy!

In my experience you simply cannot get more smiles for your money. It is hard to get as many smiles even for quite a bit more money. Enjoy!

Take it a bit easy for a bit if you aren't used to RWD- MX-5s don't normally bite, but the behaviour is different.

Just that if you are pushing her hard she'll oversteer rather than understeer. It is more natural to correct once you get used to it, but you might want to consider a skid pan course to give yourself a bit of training. Have a look on the website of your nearest racing track.

MX-5 handling is about as good as you can get, very forgiving even if you push too far. But, at that age it might be worth getting the geometry checked before you try your luck.

Have fun. I have many happy memories of throwing my little MX-5 at roundabouts; we always came out on the desired exit, though sometimes not looking through the 'right' window. wink
