Hi just a quick one went out in my girlfriends eunos. Locked it up fine came back later put the key in the door to unlock pulled the handle and nothing it basically wouldn't open feels like the spring or release mechanism has come off the back of the handle. So I had to get in through the passenger side. Just want to know if it's possible without breaking anything to get the door card off whilst the door is closed so I can actually get the door open somehow. Has someone got a quick guide to how the door card comes off?

Thanks in advance for the help!
Andy

hmmm, don't think the door card can come off without opening the door frown

Its strange the lock isn't working from the inside.

Suppose its damage limitation, you could maybe stanley knife your way through the good card and get to the door internals.

Good excuse to make new door cards in a nice fetching colour smile

This happened to me a couple of months ago.

After a few bad words, locking and unlocking the door several times in quick succession got a result and a huge sigh of relief.

Result got the door panel off, and managed to squeezemy had in and open the door honestly don't know how it opened but hey! Spring is missing from the mechanism so yeah everybody was right. Haven't got a new spring but managed to put a cable tie round the rod and temporaley fix it like that. the door now opens and closes! Cheers for all the suggestions!

Mine did this exact same thing.

first point -

It IS possible to get the door car off with the door locked shut. Difficult, but possible. Think I had to remove my seat to get at it. Came out through the rather useful hole in the roof.

The spring is a right bh to fit. I supplemented it with a piece of elastic.

The important thing to remember is to try not to touch the door handles when not neccasary.
