afternoon guys/girls,
have just agreed a deal on a 1989 mk1 eunos in fantastic mechanical condition and has the limeted slip diff, purchaced it off my neighbour whos a mechanic just had all new tyres and pad + discs geo set up etc etc its the 1.6 seems sweet enough! Actually getting the car in the next few weeks and was wondering what to do other than drive the thing! Is it worth doing the k and n filter charger? What else should i be looking at doing?

Regards matt

I'd get a full alignment done on it, if not done recently. WIM is your friend! thumbup

Where did you bring it? biggrin

If all the jobs have been done, and there are no leaks, just get out and enjoy it before the weather really turns to sh!t! Driving it will reveal any weaknesses in brakes/sussy/drivertrain, which you can then get sorted. But if it ain't broke...

Get the alignment done (not tracking, alignment). Properly.

X 1 million.

Make sure tyre pressure are ok, and all the normal things, then drive the wheels off it.

hi thannks for the replies and usual ph welcomes.
Yes alignment has been sorted, all that i know of other than paint and ding sorting out is the headrest speakers need replacing but can do that easily! Is it worth improving the cold air flow too? Even without new air filter?

you won't see that much from messing with the cold air flow. jackson racing make a cold air induction kit but it's big money and barely gives you any gains (apart from noise).

just enjoy it first, if you stay on the road then the 1.6 brakes are fine, you might want to upgrade if you consider tracking it. similar with suspension.

Go to one of thier "car control days" at Finmere... You will very quickly appreciate just how good these little cars are. I've been on track in some pretty exotic cars (driving and passengering) - and on several of the UK's greatest tracks/ the Nurburgring, trust me... it is quite simply, ridiculously fun, possibly almost as good as back to back lappage at the 'ring... Brilliant day, I'll be attending the next date that they announce. evil
