I'm going to be fitting an m45 s/c to my Eunos in the next couple of montha nd was wondering if there was any gains to be made from stripping the a/c out of the car?

Does it work well?

If mine had I may have left it alone.

But it didnt, and I dont care for it, so i ripped it out. There is a LOT of metalwork - the compressor is bloody heavy, and its held on to the block with a huge cast steel bracket.

Plus the condensor, radiatoir, pipes etc... all adds up.

I imagine it makes for a simpler belt run too if you remvoe it before adding a S/Cer.

that was my line of thinking. the jrsc m45 weighs a fair bit, so getting rid of the a/c (which doesn't work anyway) might alleviate the situation. shorter belt and one less thing for the engine to turn too.

If it doesnt work, then yeah, may aswell chop it all out.

Easy, but quite time consuming.

You'll need a pair of nice big adjustable wrenches and some tin snips.
