Hi All, I recently bought a cracking set of 8 spoke Wats that are in need of a refurb. It seems some of the refurbishers have gone out of biz & am having trouble finding anyone to refurb them locally (ideally Bristol area).
Can anyone recomend someone?
Many thanks
Matt

Nice finish on that Graphite Grey, Dennis. What type of wheels are those, and what size?

Thanks for the replies. DTM did you do those graphite grays yourself? Good finish. My set have afew marks on one of the rims & the odd minor ding, so I suppose may need some filling/repair work. Tempted to give the rattle can a bash though. Any advice for laquer/filling etc gratefully recieved. smile

Yep done them myself , i had one wheel that had kerbing on ,
but managed to wet and dry the scuff out .
All i had to do with mine was a good clean with alloy wheel cleaner and a pressure washer and lots of scrubbing .
leave them to dry then went over the face of the wheels with a scouring pad to scratch up the surface ,
then cleaned the surfaces with thinners and then 2 coats of graphite grey and 2 of lacquer .
they have been sat in the conservetory now to give the paint time to harden before i refit them.

Alloy wheel repair centre in Tewkesbury. Can't recommend them highly enough and although they are expensive they are faultless quality.

Speak to Nick, top chap who is also building a clio V6 hillclimber.
