I may be quick to take the pish.........but in reality I'm really quite envious of what you have going for you all there.

There's no such a thing as comradery up here in North Wales.......I did try the MX5 O/C for a while but the area co-ord & meetings (Cheshire/North Wales) are at the far end of Cheshire, a good 50 miles away from the Welsh border.

A could of years ago I had the choice of West London or South Central OC areas. South Central are boring and West London is just a pain to get in and out of from Wokingham. That's the reason Maria & I started the Cobham Commoners meets. John came along and created PlanetMX5 as a home for us on the web and it has simply grown from there! We aren't an OC region but many of us are OC members, we are just a bunch of like minded people who enjoy our cars - it's not even important to have an MX5 - we have members with Elises, VX220s and MR2s though the focus is of course on MX5s.

So what I'm saying is, if you don't like the OC meets in your area or there isn't an area close enough - start one of your own! You'll be amazed how many people you'll get to a meet (I know there are a lot of Nutzers in that area).

Yep, I'm occasionally on the Planet and I live in Scotland. I even occasionally meet up with some Planeteers (is that a word?) although it has been a while. The ones I know are good folk. I can't vouch for them all though and that Lazza character is really strange.......;)
