Main Beam intermittent

Posted on Nutz but not had any response as yet so maybe somebody here is familiar with this problem?

Whilst replacing the speedo dial on our Eunos last night I noticed a problem with main beam. It seems that it sometimes the main beam works fine and sometimes it'll simply switch all the lights off (when this happens the blue tell-tale doesn't appear on the dash). Is the problem likely to be at the switch end or the headlight end? I couldn't work out how to get to the connectors at the headlight end but the switch end should be no problem.

Graham, there's been a few posts on here re; intermittent headlights/main beam........I had this problem when I first bought my Roadster & I managed to trace the fault to the headlight relay that often switched the main beam on when parked, resulting in a dead battery on return.

Relays are cheap enough so I'd advise that you start there.
