Just been to see this:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1217677.htm

I knew it wouldn't be mint for £800 but:

He forgot to mention its a different shade of silver on just about every panel (and poorly resprayed too).

That its had a wack up the back (dents in rear and passenger quarter) and a wack up the front (the air guide is missing).

Finally when started it was 'missing' and I looked down to see the intake was patched up with electrical tape.

Needless to say I didn't bother with a test drive nor haggling.

That isn't a breaker, it has T+T. What exactly where you expecting for £800? Chip him on the price if you like, I reckon it'll sell at that money.

Seems the OP had unrealistic expectations. A car with recent service, including cambelt, T&T and no rust for £800 and he complains. Oh well

No I expect people to be honest, if its CLEARLY been involved in at least one significant crash I expect them to tell me rather than waste my time.

Look at the one PH bought for IIRC £700.

Written off tat is not worth anything like £800.

Are you the same person that looked at an MX5 and posted how bad it was the otherday?

I'm the same person who saw this one and started the thread !

wink

I don't think I've started any other similar ones in the past.

Although sellers totally misdescribing cars does annoy me, it simply wastes everyone's time.
