My supercharged 1.8 Mk1 seems to exhibit a slight hesitation under acceleration at about 3000 revs, as though something is holding it back slightly, once it gets past there, its away. I've had a full service done on it recently as well as cambelt change. It did it before, and it still does it now.

Its not a huge problem but it would be better still if it didnt do it.

Someone suggested it may be the Lambda sensor?

Also, the clutch slave cylinder is leaking. I am not having problems at the moment, and am wondering whether i'd be able to put this job off for a couple of months as long as i keep the fluid topped up as it goes in for its MOT then anyway.

Cheers for any help. smile

Have you checked the timing? When my timing belt was done recently, the timing was slightly off and it just needed a push to get it to rev properly. Might be worth a quick tweak, especially if it was previously adjusted with the 14btdc trick. trunkwell

I've just ordered some Magnecor leads from mx5parts, hopefully that will help, thanks for the advice.

Fitted the leads, and it is much better now, a lot smoother, although still I feel like there still a SLIGHT hesitation but its FAR less noticable than before. I still think I might replace the o2 sensor in a couple of months when the MOT is due, and then I'll know its running as well as it possibly can be.

ALso got the slave cylinder done, and the difference thats made to the gearchange is very good.

Thanks for your advice smile
