There was a factory coupe and an aftermarket hardtop with a 'hatchback' design but thats all I've seen.

If it would look like the BMW Breadvan vomit then I'd suggest that there aren't any, as people have learnt from their mistakes.

I quite like the Z3 coupe for its strange unusualness. Not exactly a "new form of beauty" but it has interest value by the shed-load. In a world where so many cars are appearing to be featureless "white goods" items I think that counts for something.

There is Shadowchaser who has turned his Mk1 into a fastback which looks pretty good. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and many will say it's terrible to turn an MX5 into a coupe but he's done all the work himself and the quality is outstanding.

The complete opposite of someone making an estate out of an MX5 would be the owner of this Range Rover that I saw parked on Rhosneigr beach yesterday:

I quite like the overal concept there, but in my opinion the result is tainted somewhat by the various tacky details.

"Estate version"? rofl

If you want a coupe, buy a coupe, not a convertible!

LOL.

Even if that were not a bad photoshop and was in fact a real car, it would IMHO be described as a coupe. For my money an 'Estate' car has a large rear door and big load space, which a 5 is of course never gonna have...

Yes, it's a photoshop, but the OP wanted to know what a 5 with a M coupe rear end would look like.
