I don't mean, "this W124 merc has 60,000 on it"
More MX5s (obviously) with about 250-300,ooo km that's about, 155-190k miles.
How well do they wear this kind of distance?
Cheers,
Dan

Mine's about to turn over to 125,000 (1991 UK 1.6), and has been well serviced (thanks to a huge history folder, and evidently caring previous owners), but seems to have never needed anything major or unexpected (essentially tyres, brakes and servicing up until I replaced the clutch just after buying it) - and it runs beautifully - less rattles that our 2004 clio 182 (and that's only done 28K!). The only sign of it's age is that the synchros can be a bit obstructive when it's cold (which was helped a lot by a change of MTF)

I would say as long as it's been well maintained, then high miles isn't anything to worry too much about...

Simple car = nothing to go wrong.
And if it does go wrong it's simple to fix.

As always it depends how they've been looked after but I have an FM2 Turbo fitted at 10k that has now done 135,000m on its original engine.
