Missing my MX!
Discussion
I sold my 1.8 Sport about a month ago now, and although the 182 is much quicker and great fun to drive, there's something I miss about the little roadster!
When I owned it I hated the days when I could drive it because of rain or just generally appaling weather, and though I only owned it from Christmas, for 5 months, I still managed 10,000 miles and most of those (where possible) were with the roof down!
I'm looking forward to my next car already (I've never kept a car for too long) and I've started to look at cheaper MX's, the Mk1 Merlot is currently the front runner in terms of price/equipment/looks compromise, so hopefully one of those might be gracing my driveway either as a primary, or a second car in the next 6 months! .
Sorry for the pointless post - just had a great weekend out in the Clio but when the sun came out I wished I could replace the climate control for a soft-top!

There's just something about driving with the roof off, isn't there. I was driving around the North Circular last night in twilight on the way back from the Ace: not fast, other cars would be more comfortable, not a great sound (just a nice one), but the MX-5 just makes you "feel good".
I used to have a 182 a few years ago, and I have recently bought my first MX5. Its a Mk1 Eunos RS-LTD, with a JR M45 SC. Although it needs some work in places, overall I'd say it was much more fun to drive than the 182 ever was - it has better handling and just as much, if not more acceleration, and topless motoring. Its probably even more fun than my old ITR! And with the SC, even makes a nice noise
