Bought one of these last week, fitted in 5 minutes and have been extremely impressed with it since. Much more grin factor in corners and roundabouts now, buttocks staying firmly planted in the same position in the (slippy leather) seat.
I was a touch dubious initially but as an everyday alternative to harnesses which has the added benefit of either being 'on or off' I can't fault it. very pleased.
If you've been thinking of getting one, I'd certainly recommend.

We use one on the PlanetMX5 Motorsports car. It is an improvement over the seatbelt alone but it certainly isn't "half the effectiveness of a full harness for less than half the money" as they claim. A good bucket seat or even Elise seats make it more or less redundant as you don't move around in the seat anyway. The biggest problem with MX5 seats isn't a lack of support in the base (though they are pretty poor here) but a lack of support for the torso and especially the shoulders and a CG-lock does nothing to help there.

I have one of these too, and I have to say I do quite like mine.. Holds me much steadier to the point I don't like driving without it now. Also helps stop me getting a bad back on long trips.
It does dig into my hip slightly, but then I do have a three inch waist.
