Hi All,

I'm considering a Mk2 1.8 S that's was imported from Japan in 2003. I can see in the pics that the front numberplate is square but the rear one looks like a standard uk one.
Does anyone know if this is dodgy and should be a square back numberplate or is this a common modification? I'm guessing not.
Maybe at some point it was rear ended and repaired with uk parts?
I'm yet to hear from the seller but i'm curious to hear what people think.

Cheers

Mk2 onwards has a rear panel that can accept either UK or JDM style number plates so they are all the same.

That's what I wanted to hear. Cheers smile

I couldn't find any definitive information about it. Most sites kept on about the square numberplates but I gather that's only for the Mk1's.

Is there anything else I should look out for when inspecting the car?
