As you can see I have the roof down quite a lot and the inside has faded where it has been in the sun from black, to what you see in the picture. Any ideas if you can treat this in any way to make it black without resorting to a new roof.

Try a small area with shoe polish and buff off as you would when cleaning a emmm shoe!

This is how I clean the exterior of the roof on mine, always works a treat and brings it back to black and waterproofs it!

Sorry forgot to say it's a fabric roof.

So it's the interior lining thats faded? I suppose you could try painting on a fabric dye. Try a small inconspicuous area and see how it takes.

Try the Reveno (spelling ?) roof die, it worked wonders on the outside of my TVR roof.
I was going to try it on the inside of a S2000 as it had faded like yours but I sold it before i got round to it.

Just be careful not to get it over the interior it's a nightmare to get off.

My roof is red canvas and I have two faded lines and it seems the roof is rubbing against the other part when down. Have had to put a piece of foam inbetween to stop it rubbing. So the colour has rubbed off, its a sort of red/maroon colour so how would I recolour it??
