Long story short is.

Im 18 been driving for 6 months (still a baby)

Currently have a 1.4 new shape clio however i've fallen in love with mx5's mainly MK1's but I have a soft spot for MK2's aswell.

would/should I be able to get insured on a 1.6 of either at my age for the right side of 2 grand?

and are there any mx5 specialist insurers?

Many thanks

You might try AON - they offer a discount to Owners Club members.

Good luck!

Not for 18 year olds. You need to be over 26!
I don't think I would ever contemplate buying any car that would cost more to insure than the car is worth!

Always found the Bell group cheapest for young drivers; Bell/Elephant/Admiral.

I got my 5 when I was 23 and had a couple of mods on it, found that Adrian Flux were my best bet - give them a call, also a discount for being in the club smile
