Bought 'Rod's' mx5 manual for the 1.8 so I would have some idea how to tackle any work that may arise on my recent acquisition. Seems to be quite a few changes to my 2003 car, the first being the TPS as mine has only 3 terminals not 4 as in Rods book and also appears to be non adjustable-am I right? Really wanted to check this out as vehicle again appears to 'hunt' very slightly on a trailing throttle. Any suggestions on where I can find more up to date data or solution to problem

None of the books available cover Mk2.5 (2001+) but they are mostly the same anyway. There are some differences though so anything that isn't covered in the book can be found on Miata.net or by asking questions on various forums (MX5 Nutz is best).

I don't see how the TPS that would affect "hunting".
Did you mean Air Flow Meter (AFM)? It's a Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor on 1.8 and isn't adjustable. They don't usually go wrong, they either work or they don't work.
