Hello from a newbie

Hi Folks,
just a wee hello. After the longest 6 weeks of her life her insurance company finally paid up and the cheque has cleared.
Me and the girlfriend are finally picking up her new car later today.
A mint 2002 mx5.....we cant wait

the dealer was supposed to be taxing it for us and putting the private plate on this morning but he doesnt have the V5 yet

Will do, had a look at your profile, yours is a beautiful colour

picking it up today but its only taxed until end of the month so only get to drive it for the weekend then its getting parked up on the drive

Thanks It's called Innocent Blue and has only been used for the 10th AE.

It's meant to be a lovely weekend so make the most of it! Any reason why you're not taxing it, or do you need the V5/paperwork etc to come through?

yeah pretty much. wee mistake on the dealers part.
when he took the car in it was on a private plate which was being put on retention and the DVLA havent returned the log book yet to the dealer.

he got the car in the morning and we bought it that evening but the dvla are saying its gonna be another 2 weeks before it comes thru
