Did a hoon this weekend with a number of other PHers including some pretty serious kit (996 turbo, Gallardo Superleggera, numerous Tuscans etc) and the little NC '5 did herself proud in being able to keep up through the Surrey / Hampshire backroads.

Ok so she was totally outclassed along the Dual Carriageways and long straights but did very well in the B road work. To the extent that someone wondered if it had been fettled.

All I can say is to repeat that getting the Mk3 onto the Eibach springs and through an alignment session really is crucial as the car felt simply awesome.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love my car!

Played the same game a number of times in mine too - hanging onto the back of others. The key is - to persuade people to take in a route with as many crappy bumpy bits as possible. My old GTi-6 used to love doing that too.

Small, light cars dont mind bumps. People in Lowered 911's and Supras with very expensive wheels, mind them a lot biggrin

I've been on a couple of PH runs with a mix of supercars and none of them have managed to leave me, even on the straights! There is only so much performance you can really use on the road. An F430 might be able to get to 100mph a couple of seconds quicker than me but on the road that makes very little difference! Mind you, I'd have been going flat-out whereas they were just playing laugh

The best run and one that will live long in my memory was my one and only London Tunnels Run. Driving through Rotherhithe tunnel in the company of a number of supercars including 2 Vipers is an experience not to be missed biggrin

That reminds me - I should get myself onto another tunnel run some time...

I went on a tunnel run the other week with the Bristol PHers... loads of TVRs, Mustangs, even an Ultima GTR amongst other nice metal.

I went in the Boxster obviously... but the R-Ltd would have been far better! rofl

But at least it's given me the kick in the arse to get some sports pipes on the Pork.
