Rear = bottom of the differential.

Front = middle of the U-shaped cross-member behind the engine.

As bluetone has said.

Tip for jacking the front, I use the scissor jack at one of the wheel jacking points before using a full size trolley under the front cross member.

Just drive one wheel onto a block of wood if you're struggling with entry height for a trolley jack.

You can simply jack in the stock locations on the sills.

I can't get a trolly jack anywhere near the centre points on my (lowered) car

erk - unless you've got some sort of slotted adapter plate for the jack you'll bend the thin bit of metal that protrudes under the sill - it's really soft...

[thread hijack - apologies] OnlyMX5ives, could you pm me your details - my MX5 will need a service in a month or so's time and I'd like to give you a try[/hijack]

They shouldn't be soft.

I've been jacking my cars on them regularly, never had a problem.

No need for PM I have nothing to hide.

My No. is 07729 999468 9am - 8pm

I work from B93 0DX and will do the odd evening or Weekend if required.

Hmmm...I definitely bent the thin bit of metal under the sill on my old MX5 doing this (though I don't know what sort of condition it was in before I tried jacking it, it may have been 'softened up' by the previous owner), haven't tried it on my current one!

Thanks for the details, I'll be in touch closer to when the service needs doing.
