So, had leaky door tops for a while now, but its starting to split, and worse, the zip is almost impossible to use, so time to bite the bullet and get a new roof.

I have gone thru some old posts but probably worth getting an up to date opinion- where is a good place to get a roof?

I am fairly confident fitting it with some half decent instructions. Cheapest I have found on the net for a Vinyl roof is £130, and seen them on flea-bay for about that.

Any experiences and recommendations are very welcome.

I fitted a BAS(?) Autohoods vinyl roof from MX5parts a few years ago. Easy to fit, still looks good and leak free 5 years later and the car wasn't garaged at all for the first 3years.

Also heard good reports of the former Shing Fung now David Manners roofs, were very good value to.

When I last did the job I think I got one from hothoods.

I recouped most of the cost by selling my undamaged rear window section on eBay - might be worth a try if yours is in good condition.

Someone there has mentioned Jack Smiths, but they are far too far from you...

However they fitted a mohair for £260. Excellent fit too.
