Bought the car on Friday, broke down on Saturday (fanbelt snapped!), cleaned it Sunday!

Here it is at the moment I'm hoping to update this thread as I progress with the car.

It's a 1993 K Eunos Roadster 1.6i (115bhp) in Mariner Blue, I'm hoping to make it into a great trackday as well as a daily driver, think I can make the best of both worlds as I don't care for creature comforts in cars!

First of all I have a What Wheels?? Basically I would like some white ones, so please recommend away!

Also What Rollbar?? Again I would like this to be white and a proper roll bar not a style bar. smile

That looks an absolute cracker, very clean! I wish mine was a blue or red one.

As for wheels, just keep an eye on the forums and ebay, lots come up for sale every week. You'll be wanting 15s if its going to be a proper drivers car.

Looks a very nice one smile

Wheels - well I'm biased as I have some but have a look at Enkeis, mine are the RPO1 which are available pretty cheaply second hand.

Not sure what the rollbar options are in the UK but a bit of investigating should find something - try mx5nutz and so on. Also worth getting the underbody suspension braces if the car doesn't have them already - I found they made quite a difference, especially in fast, bumpy corners.

You might be surprised how little it take for an MX5 to be great on track, mine is pretty much standard (has 15"s, rollbar, underbody braces and thats about it) and the only other things I'd really want to add are a bucket seat/maybe harness and half-decent tyres instead of the kingstar/GT radial combination that was on the 15"s when I got them silly

If you're interested, I have a set of Sprint Hart CP-F semi forged wheels (10lbs per corner) - Not cheap, but they're rare, light and strong.

PM if interested.

Look forward to comparing new cars at a meet sometime soon and I wouldn't mind a quick pax ride as I've always been interested in a '5 smile

You coming to Curborough tomorrow? OR White Hart on Tuesday?

It's totally standard ATM, as I can't start anything until these bloody wheel nuts turn up frown

Sprayed wing mirrors gloss black to go with the wheels and if I keep it I'm still yet to put my little front lip spoiler on. smile

You got a car yet?

Hope to see you at a meet soon!!!
