Any dyno results for standard(ish) cars?
Discussion
EVO recently had an early 1.8 in their Grand Challenge. IIRC it won the rolling road test for being closest to stated horsepower. Can't find the magazine at the moment but no doubt someone will be along in a minute.
My local specialist Autolink suggested that they didn't bother racing an engine until it had 200k as it was still too tight!

Mine is a Jap 1.6 with some sort of stainless exhaust (looks like a larini?), a decat, and a JRR CAI. Just wondered if it was still making book power or if it had haemorraged all its ponys in 18yrs and 100k + miles. I think a RR day is in order....
So assuming there would be a RR day, would this be only open to stock 1.6's/1.8's.....?? Would love to know what mine is actually running at! Also sounds like there are a few people from around the area(ish) with 5's, when is the next get together or anyone feel like a drive some time...??Sounds like most of the horses stay in the stable then, guess the engines are not called rock solid for nothing.
I know I suggested it. But i'm really really crap at organisation. Lazza?
However I would suggest a mixture of cars. With interest being low vs high miliage. And the different "off the shelf" FI kits. Plus a few specials.
Probably something mx5nutz ( http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php ) have already done. OR would also be worth getting involved. As I think there are more likely to be a wide variety of modded cars on there.

Hello?PlanetMX5 have been talking about arranging a dyno-day at SRR some time this year. Not sure if anyone has talked to them though.
I'll happily organise something if there is enough interest. I'd probably do it through the PlanetMX5 forum though as it's easier to manage on there.

I might well be in touch very soon I'm sure you'll keep an eye on this thread Check out PlanetMX5's Garage for rolling road results, although you might not find that many standard cars on there!
