Miffed with my aerial

My electric aerial became loose and pulled out with half the plastic cable snapped off. Got a new mast from autolink and the other day tried to fit it in. Only thing is can't get the damn motor out because I have only a wrench and pliers, just ordered new socket set but it won't be here till end of next week or longer due to my bank account being tampered with and card now blocked till new one arrives.

I hoped there were no bits of plastic in the motor, so shoved the new plastic mast down and turned stereo off with keys but it won't grab it. So have to wait till socket set comes before I can remove the motor to empty it out. My hands were black when I lost my patience and gave up. Now I have a gap where the aerial should be and the motor still makes the sound of winding but a weirder sound. Just have to wait.
