Insurance providers

I am thinking of taking the plunge and getting an MX5, and checking through the insurance my quotes are ranging from £500 to £1600. I am 25, held a clean licence for 8 years and have 7 NCB. I am sure the insurance could be cheaper and could prob get some more off by phoning up, so am looking for any reccomendations for providers. Thanks

I'll be stunned if you get it much below £500 at 25. I got down to about £480 at that age. Then I had to make a claim.

Anyway, I've always got the best quotes from A-Plan or Adrian Flux.

Cheers, i've contacted both A-plan and Adrian Flux for quotes, should hear back Tuesday.

What is the main thing to look out for on these cars - rust underneath?

Eh? My Eunos was about £330 to insure - TPFT. Im 25 driving since 17, no points/crashes and with 4 years NCB, living in Winchester, Hants.

I was 26 when i insured mine 3 or 4 years no claims, left on the drive in a dodgy part of sheffield - costs about £430 I think and that includes european rescue breakdowny thingy.
