Mk3 Aggressive DSC cal.
Discussion
The MX5 was delivered yesterday so I spent most of the day driving around the countryside making the most of the sunshine.
I am chuffed to bits with the car, overall, but one thing slightly irks me about it... the DSC system is very keen to cut the throttle, even on 2nd gear straight line accels. I tried a few similar runs with it switched off and it didn't feel anywhere near the traction limit.
Working in the automotive industry, I have had the chance to drive several hundred different cars and few have been as keen to cut the throttle. For the sake of the relatively few moments that it does cut the throttle, it is not worth driving around with the DSC off, so, does anybody here know if there is an alternative, less aggressive ABS calibration available?

Get the car properly aligned - this is a very common issue with Mk3s due to Mazda's response to Euro Pedestrian legislation (In essence I believe they lifted the car up and didn't correct the alignment settings accordingly)
Wheels-in-Motion are the favoured people to do it (they have the original calibrations I believe) but other places can of course do a proper 4 wheel alignment.

Experience and hearsay in my case. I've seen plenty of people post on forums to say that a good alignment stops the DSC light cuttingin as often and the Eibach springs seem to improve things further. Mk3's that have never been professionally aligned always seem to be well out. I don't think Tony at WiM has ever had one in that didn't need some adjustment.
I did however also suggest that it could just be that the tyres need scrubbing in. We all know how bad these cars can feel on brand new tyres.

I've seen mk3 owners complain of the DSC light coming on in 3rd and on almost every time a corner is taken aggressively regardless of speed/gear and for this to be almost completely solved with a full alignment and improved again with Eibach springs.
I'd still like to know how many miles the tyres have done and whether the roads were wet or dry.

An alignment check would seem to make sense, particularly since the wheels have a little kerbing, so its probably not 100%. Car has 4k miles on the clock, so I assume the tyres have done about that too.
As you say, mid-corner accel from an apex seems to trigger the DSC light in 3rd too.
