Mk1, Interferance on radio.

Hi Peeps,

I've noticed that I'm starting to get rfi when I'm listening to the radio, I guess that means my suppressor's on the way out? Whereabouts on the car is it and where can I find a replacement (I've looked on MX5 parts but couldn't find anything).

There isn't usually a supressor. First try putting in a new earth to the HU. If that has no effect then fit new speaker cables (the most likely cause).
If those don't work then you could try a supressor on both live feeds but I've yet to see that make a difference.

When I bought the car the previous owner had butchered the ISO connector so I had to do a bit of TLC on the radio harness. I'll have the HU out and recheck the connections, especially the earth,
