Had the water pump replaced early in the new year due to a leak.

Car is running fine, but quite often I can smell coolant when I have been driving. Level has dropped a little from max to min in the 2 months. Can't see any leaks. Rad cap has been replaced.

Noticed after a drive yesterday that the coolant level is back up at max again!

Car drives fine, no white smoke, no overheating.

Any ideas?

Is the radiator full? My mechanic told me to ignore the expansion tank but instead to always make sure the rad was full.

Who's your mechanic? Is it Andy or Julian from Autolink?

Exactly what mine says too smile

Particularly after I had my rad replaced a year ago or so.
