Ok, I have decided that i cannot live any longer without an MX-5 in my life. The question is, which one?
Price wise I am limited to about 2k, so its MK1's only, but this is ok as I am not such a fan of the look of the MK2.
Insurance isn't an issue, 21 with 1 years no claims, driving 4 years, 1 write off september 2007, got a quote on an import 1.8 V-spec and it came to abou a thousand pounds a year which i can live with.
Now all i need is a little bit of help from you guys to point me in the right direction and I am away. Any suggestions?

Glad insurance is not an issue for you. For some reason, insurance is slightly higher on the imports rather than the UK cars, although I'm sure with some judicious phone/web work you can get over this.

Loads of models/special editions varying from just a special paint job to some pretty serious mechanical upgrades. All I can say is that there are loads out there, look at lots of them and generally be picky. I'd say buy on condition first rather than getting your heart set on a specific model (unless you have time to hunt a good one out).
