I would like my black eunos resprayed one day. How much should I expect to pay for the full thing. Or how much should I expect to have the rear bumper re-sprayed as a knock from a van some months ago has made some of the paint bubble and peel.

Just had a problem this week with my battery, (used 1993 mx 5 panasonic gel) just gone after a months usage in mine, now got to buy the westco one from autolink. Car out of action for a week and I am on the bus! Miss my driving!

Full re-spray would probably be c.£1500 give or take.

Bumper you could proably get done for £50-100. Try a good local bodyshop - I'd actually recommend finding one that the local boy racers tend to use, personally imho the larger more commercial ones will likely want larger jobs to do (happy to be told I'm wrong on this)

Agreed. I used one near me (no good for the OP, then) who did a superb job. They do anything from a Focus to a Ferrari.

As a guide on price, he said he would charge my brother about £1,200 to £1,500 for a total respray of a 1970 MGB GT. The final price depends on rust, etc. Since the Eunos should not have much rust, if any, and since it has no roof to paint, I reckon you could get it done for somewhere between £1,000 and £1,200. It is worth paying a bit more for a really good job. A cheapo respray is a false economy.

I have had a rear bumper and tailgate repaired by the above company on my Focus - that was £145 and he got a perfect match.

HTH.

Yes I will have to try and save a bit of money. that will be hard.
Do they take out the lights etc for a respray? What about the roof. I don't want black paint everywhere spoiling my red interior.

i love my car but occasionally when things go wrong I think about selling it for a slightly better one!

Just painted the boot today with hammerite after wiring the rust away with wire brush. This piccy was yesterday when I had the battery replaced. Someone from the club sending me a grommet to fill that hole behind battery on boot floor.. I suspect this is my damp problem. its all dry now.
This is mine.
You have probably seen me driving around the area bolton/bury. Just found out my reg is a chinese one too! I never knew it was worth anything.

It depends on the shop - some places will just mask off lights/windows. Obviously it costs more in labour if they take everything out, but it will look better.

Make sure you connect up the venting tubes on your battery or else the fumes will vent into the boot and cause corrosion. Ask me how I know.
