I hadn't seen it before.

ABS test without spinning the rear wheels? Won't work very well on a 3 channel ABS system. Not sure I believe that.

Just searched for the original thread, seems no conclusion was reached after all.

A surprisingly large number of my friends who claim to be car enthusiasts have expressed surprise that my car was RWD when I bought it. The mocking and jibbing also stopsthe first moment they actually sat/rode in it too, says a lot.

Was this not a front brake efficiency test as per MOT? Doesn't look like any brake test roller I've ever seen like but if it were a dyno, where's the hooked-up 'pooter?

If it's a brake test why is it tied down at the back? Braking would push the car backwards, not forwards...

And that's defo not an MOT testing bay.

If that was an MOT bay then they'd have to be constantly turning cars around to test the brakes on each end, which seems unlikely - the brake rollers normally have enough clearance in front to get the rear wheels on by just driving forwards.

Looks much more like a rolling road type setup to me, in which case I'd be seriously questioning the abilities of the guy(s) running it before they even started messing with the engine.

There's a big fan at the front - you don't have those in a MOT bay, + the brake rollers are two small rollers that the wheel drops into. Fail!

From the photo I can't verify it's got one on the other side, so here's a few hypotheses:

1) The real fail is that it has NO steering wheel
2) Perhaps it is a Mazda special prototype, with in built auto-drive and also FWD?!?
