Right, quick background. I have a '91 Mk1 Eunos with 170k km's on it, no service history other than a few receipts I have for it from my 18mths ownership (Cambelt, waterpump, service items), which is mechanically sound but has possibly the worst paint ever. It has gone through the last two MOT's with no advisories and has been exceptionally reliable mechanically. Both the windows have stopped working, which I understand is an easy fix, but the laquer is half missing on the bonnet, and when I bought it, someone had paid a blind man to repair a dent on the OSR quarter, and then spray it. I have rubbed the rear quarter down to the metal from the wheel arch back in preparation for paint, but now I'm not so sure the expenditure is worth it. It was imported in 2001 I think, and thus has perfect rear arches etc. I want rid of it, because I have decided I want a Saab Aero for various reasons and am now unsure what the best way to go about selling the Eunos is. It has some tasty bits on it, such as a JR CAI, what I think is a Larini cat-back, a nice shiny new de-cat pipe, and chrome 'style' bars. Do I spend out a load of money getting everything done, in order to make it really nice and hopefully get top money, sell off all good bits and put std bits on, break the whole car, or just sell it as it is? Any help or advice appreciated, its probably worth mentioning I used to be a car salesman and therefore am corrupted eternally by always wanting to get as much dosh out of selling cars as possible, plus I'm very poor......

+1You'll not get much value from any nice bolt-ons whilst on the car. Be prepared to be v. disappointed w.r.t. price if your car needs much bodywork though... I can't see 'top money' being very high for a '91 Mk1 Eunos with 170k km on it.
And let me know how much you would want for the CAI unit

A case of the sum of its parts being greater than the whole. At that mileage it's all but unsaleable as a street car, though you could gift it to a first time car owner. Otherwise, let enthusiasts buy the good bits. I don't think I can part with it.
I've never known a car get under my skin so much. Its odd, all my mates fire through women like there's no tomorrow, and stick with some boring soulless car forever and a day, I've been with my g/f since I was 20 (5yrs! ) and have always changed my cars more often than my underwear. There's just something about it, I always look back at it when I park it up, I've developed a real soft spot for it. I think its partly 'cos its such an underdog, it has to be one of the rattiest Mk1's on the road. Its a bit like the dog with one ear at the rescue home, I jump in it every day and drive it hard and it never misses a beat. I don't reckon a swedish turbo barge could ever press the same buttons as my little roadster.....

Nail/head. Each of them pushes buttons that are so far apart you can't even imagine they'd be on the same control board. The two would complement each other rather nicely, though.900T-R said:

The two would complement each other rather nicely, though.I have both a Eunos and a Swedish turbo barge (well, not really a barge, but in comparison), and you're right. They press totally different buttons - but I never get bored of either as they're totally different drives (but both fun)! And both for the price of a second hand focus
