Morning gents, since my 306 has blown up I've been looking around at a fair few cars for a replacement.

A few months on PH has obviously given me the fever and now I'm seriously considering getting myself a Mk1 MX-5.

However, I'm 6'6" and fairly broad so I'm wondering if I'm going to fit and if I do, am I going to look a tit?

My brother's 6'5" and fitted happily in for a drive of mine the other day, with the roof up he was fine...

You are going to need to sit in one. I'm 6ft with 32" inside leg and I have the seat right back and I'm comfortable. If your legs are much longer you might find a leg / steering wheel interface issue with some of the wheels fitted.

You could well fit though. So go find one without an airbag and see if you fit in. (I think my airbag wheel is bigger than the earlier wheels.)

Excellent, good to know it's feasible for me then.

I'll have to try an arrange a fitting.

Anyone around derby with a Mk1?
