Has anyone had the problem of Mayo in the dipstick tube?
Car is running great no loss of coolant or signs of Mayo in the oil filler.
Few dips and wipes of the stick and all is clear. Car does short trips all the time so is that the cause?
Guess it may just need a good run
Thoughts please

The sticky white stuff is caused by the emulsification of some of the oil. Water is either coming from the head gasket (God forbid) or more likely, condensation caused by the engine not getting hot enough because of the short trips. I also have a similar journey problem, 10 miles, but I keep below 3k revs for 5 miles and then have an enthusiastic blat to clear the engine of the contaminating water. Works for me.
Suggestions :1/ Get the engine hotter before you drive away or find a longer or more adventurous route to get to work.
2/ Change the oil anyway. Because of the water content, engine heat might generate pressured heated water (steam ?) which could remove the oil coating the bearings. You would want to chance this because------?
