Stick on front number plates
Discussion
Your best bet is www.craigsplates.com Then order a show plate but in UK standard format.
It's not technically possible to make a sticker fit the numberplate standard. (They have to be flat and rigid!).
But craigs plates make the background reflective, the font correct, and the plate the correct size. And frankly thats all the plod care about.

I ordered mine from Craigsplates.com. I think it was £16.99 delivered.
Can you not use one of these plinth fittings? They fit around the very front of the nosecone and don't cover the air inlet at all. I've got one on my mk1 and it looks very neat and tidy.
