hi all its me again. Iam going to look at a mx5 1.8 1996 uk model its up for £1800 ono so how much would you offer? As its going to be 2 women and i dont want to sound to naive or desperate! your imput would be helfull thanks mandy

It doesn't sound expensive (depending on the above)

If you mean what is a reasonable point to start haggling for a £1800 car, I'd suggest £1500 but you can start as low as you want really as you can always go up.

However I've found many are now pricing very competatively to get people around and then won't drop their price at all - which is fine if the car is as described IMO.

HI sorry its done 82,000 the woman has had it 4 years, two other owners, mot may, tax march, new hood a year ago with glass back window, its in autotrader in Brighton and a lovely Red! it does look good but what do i know!

The easiest way to do these things is to pay what you think it's worth. If you cant haggle it can be stressful, so best to decide on what you want to pay and make an offer.

Only you know what it's worth to you.

My 1.8 '96 MX5 cost me £1700, but that was off a friend of a friend and it was near mint with full service history. By far the best car i've ever had (but then that wouldn't be hard) i love mine.
