"Euphonic" (?) edition rear mud flaps... Where to buy?
Discussion
Hello Mx5 owners...
A friend of a friend is looking for a rear mud flap for his "Euphonic"(?) edition Mx5. He's been looking to replace the part as it differs from the normal mk2.5 mudflap but he's not been able to source one (apparently despite calling Mazda).
Just curious if anyone knows where I can source one for him or if anyone knows the mazda part code as I've been told it is different from the standard one and they're playing silly buggers.
Thanks in advance,
G

Sorry! I don't know if you can get an electronic parts catalogue on ebay? I don't have one, but I have Saab and Ford ones...
So many different special editions of MX-5s though...
Ahh no bother. I'll ring up a few mazda garages and see if I can find one single intelligent person who doesn't insist that it's the same part on all mk2.5s...So many different special editions of MX-5s though...
Yep too many editions if you ask me. Aside from the mazdaspeed editions and ones with LSD I've never really understood the point. My mother's got a Euphonic as well maybe I'll ask her to have a look.

I just took a look at a few pictures of Euphonics and the rear flaps look exactly the same as on my Mk2.5 Sport. Are you sure they are different? If so, are they standard Euphonic items or does it have a Mazda option body kit?
Well I was under the impression the mk2 were the same as the 2.5 in which case they're different...I've only ever seen 2 euphonics close up... they both lacked front mudflaps and they both had much longer rear mudflaps that carried on up the rear arches.
You'll have to forgive my ignorance as it's not my car...
Aside from the fact the front ones are missing again on the Euphonic picture they are the same...
They are also different from those fitted to the Mk2's I've seen and they're different from the part provided by "Mx5Parts" (states mk2/2.5).
So they have different mudflaps on some special editions then? Is that not really odd? Still leaves me with the problem that Mazda don't seem to realise they've done that!

Well that's the mystery solved then..
Yes they are apparently the same as those fitted to mk2.5s but according to the below (and viewable on autotrader)mudflaps were only fitted to sport/special edition models on the 2.5!

So the ones for mk2.5s are buggers to get hold of with everyone claiming it's the same as the mk2 which it clearly bloody isn't! There's even people who have fitted them retrospectively.
So back to my amended first question then... Does anybody know where I can get mudflaps for a mk2.5 Mx5? (I'll obviously tell the fella to call Mazda again the meantime).
Well that was needlessly complicated.. Thanks guys.
