Best place to buy.......

After purchasing a front upper strut brace, I now need a rear strut brace to even things out. Question is, wheres the most reasonable place to buy one from. MOSS EUROPE sell them but I'm loathed to pay nearly £150 for one!! Is there anywhere that sell them more reasonably, or better still does anyone have one they want to sell.....?

think FM / RB do them in the states. rare over here, even second hand you probably won't see much change from £120.

How come they're so rare? I would have thought more people would have wanted to fit a rear strut brace?? Or do most people fit the lower braces to the chassis? Is this more effective?

They are rare because they are pointless. The rear section of the chassis is pretty stiff without it. You'd get much better results from chassis bracing that any strut braces.

the top of teh struts in a double wishbone car are never to be subjected to that much force away from the vertical (relative to the damper). it's probably a bigger issue on mcpherson strut designs where the damper acts as the upper wishbone effectively and hence has far more force on it.

imo you will see more benefit from tying the wishbone mounting points together via the underbody strut braces.

Understood! I'll give the rear brace thing a miss and just go for the chassis braces underneath. Thanks for all the advice....
