This morning on the M60 - got thrutched up the bumper when the traffic came to a halt.
damage appears to be the rear light cluster (obviously) and paint scuffs to wing bumper and boot.. not sure how damaged the panels are tho, guess thats one for the body shop to deciede.
Already got in touch with Anniesdad, and their on with it.
and what hit us you ask?
dammit! with the Saab broken too! going to have to see what we do about tomorrow.

not as yet. Assessor came round yesterday, but i didnt hear/see him - who ever it was just dropped their card through the letter box to say they'd inspected the car.
I'm taking it over to a bodyshop that was going to deal with the rust on the rear wings for his quote on the repairs.
Have asked Mike, at Europa if i could have a hire car at least on monday as i need to get to manchester after the missus has gone in the other car.

To be honest it looks like the MX5 was saved by the fact that the van has a big soft front bumper that collapsed rather than keeping it's shape and doing any real damage. In fact it looks like, as he hit you with the corner of the bumper it missed the steel reinforced section behind it. If it had hit more centrally the damage might have been much worse.
