Kinda really like this one......

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ks_large_imag...

However i'm a bit concerned it might have been molested - those wheels arn't standard are they? and the steering wheel isn't?

MOT only til next Feb, and its quite along way for me to go and view it....

Let me know your thoughts please.

Cheers

Dan

Tell me i'm missing something with them?

I think they look good - but do they look like they might be slightly too big?

They do look big ... 17's?

There's a minimal amount of rubber around them.

But they look gorgeous.

And the steering wheel? Perhaps the guy has really long legs? I've changed my steering wheel (getting the horn to work was a bugger).

Bit hard to comment without seeing the description, knowing the mileage/price/history etc. But on the face of it looks ok. I wouldn't say it's been 'molested' as mx-5's don't tend to be, owners generally look after their cars and just try to enhance/improve the look of their cars. I think the wheels are quite nice and not a 'chavy' choice (certainly not standard). The green hood with the green paintwork is unusual and I like it, that says to me someone has put some thought into the car and possibly spent a few quid on it! I understand about the whole distance thing, but you've got to look at these cars to decide if they're any good.... Depends how serious you are. Hope this helps...

You will find that a lot of mx5's will be modified in some way, it may be just clear repeater side lights, or different alloys, or lowered suspension, but there's usually something. The hood is new too, which is a good thing on a car that age, and I like it in matching green (Mazda, as far as I know, never did a green hood). If you find a good condition car that ticks your wishlist then don't worry about the mods, providing you like them. So next time go for it!
