How the hell do I lower it?

I tried tonight, for the first time since I picked it up (driving longer than 5 mins in the dry hehe) and it would not lower frown

It got so far, ie clasps over driver's headrest, and stopped.

Has heated glass rear, with anti wind thingy & roll bars pictured above which are standard, if that helps?

Any ideas please?

If it's a vinyl roof it will be blody cold so will be really stiff. With a glass rear window, this accentuates the problem.

The style-bars and wind-blocker are Mazda options and aren't high enough to stop it.
On a lot of Mk2s the springs in the hood that help it fold down correctly (you can't see most of the) aren't strong enough to pull the widow down and the hood ends up kind of perched, held up by the glass. Mine does this occasionally, I can usually get away with just trying a couple of times are it drops. Some are more of as problem and require the window to be eased into place while lowering, usually from out of the car.

yes

Went to see a man that can hehe

It is simply a case of learning how to do it hehe getting the material to fold right biggrin

Now, however, it won't lock down on the driver's side frown

Try lowering the windows (or opening the doors). Mine is a right sod to clip in sometimes with the windows up, especially when it's cold.

Hmm, the only time I've had real problems I just had to push the roof towards the windscreen using the indent in the centre and then get the clips on both sides over the dogs and then just push hard to stretch the hood. I tend to do it in stages, one side to the other, not fully clamping down one side and then moving over to the other. (one of those things that's really hard to explain in words, much easier to show)

Good luck, it will go!
