Cam cover - question about oil
Discussion
This weekend I had the cam cover off to replace both the cam cover gasket and the CAS 'o' ring.
The result is a car that seems to be running more smoothly so i'm very pleased but...
When I pulled the plug leads out, the bottom of three of the leads were covered with oil, then when I took the cam cover off, three of spark plugs "chambers" (is that the correct term)were full of oil.
I've not been out and checked since I changed the cam cover gasket but was it because the cam cover gasket was knackered? or have I got potential problems coming in the future?
Considering the car has 178k miles on the clock everything looked good in (top of) the engine, it idles well, pulls stongly through the rev range and there is no 'mayo' in the oil.
Cheers,
Phill

We're based up in Leighton Buzzard now but my parents live in Mudeford (nr Christchurch) so we're down there quite often. Should be down there before xmas, i'll give you a bell and we'll get a beer organised.
