Windscreen vent blower - ducting?

Last night I went to drive my MX5 and noticed it was taking an inordinate amount of time to de-mist the windscreen, then I noticed barely any airflow through the air vents directed at the windscreen.

It flows through the floor and eyeball vents like a hurricane, just not toward the screen.

I noticed switching it to recirc mode causes a bit more airflow, but that's not ideal as it steams up quicker.

I assume it's just a case of some piping/ducting loose behind the dash?

Has anyone had the same problems, and how much dismantling have I got to do?

Check the big kinked triangle pipe behind the glove box (2 screws at the bottom of the glove box to remove it to check).
