..I've seen references on the internet and reviews that mention about removing the cover and you'll see a MOMO wheel underneath?

What's all that about then? is it the case for only certain models of certain ages? does anyone have a pic of what it would look like?

It's on early Eunos cars with no airbag. The Momo wheel will have a small horn push cover over the centre of the wheel and it looks rather miserable, but when you remove it, it exposes the momo hornpush and metal frame underneath which is just like most Momo performance wheels.

Pedantic mode on/
It's on early Eunos Roadsters. Eunos was a group of cars sold under a brand name, a bit like Lexus for Toyota but only for the Japanese market.
Pedantic mode off/
wink

I think it might also apply to early UK non-airbag Mk1s too...

not that one. Thats the one with the kind of 'dome' shaped centre, correct?

Seen it on a few cars I've looked at, not sure why they have a different, but still non airbag design.

My 1996 build MK1 has an Airbag Momo wheel. I thought the leather cover was coming off on it's own the other day. However it was just the accumulated skin and grot that was coming off the wheel on sweatty hands.

Nice.

I have one of these black-metal-spoked Momo wheels (also have the padded Eunos centre cover) that I don't want if you are interested in making me an offer. No horn push though as I need that.
