Replacing front speaker Mk 2.5
Discussion
Pretty easy.
Remove the big Phillips bolts (x2) that go through the door handles.
Remove the screw in the door-release and the cup it holds on.
Remove the plastic clips inside the door-jamb.
The door panel will now pull off - it will be retained by some more plastic clips that pull out with the panel. Remove it from the bottom first as the top edge of the panel fits over the window opening.
The speakers are screwed into the door itself. The stock speakers and 5"x7" sitting in an panel which covers an 8" hole.
You have a choice of replacement speakers. 5"x7" as a direct replacement. 8" to fill the door-opening or 6-6.5" and make up an MDF panel to cover the 8" opening (which is what I have done).
