LSD Noisey

How noisy are the LSD's fitted to these, reason I ask is Im getting a bit worried mine is a bit too noisey. Seems to be noisy after warming up and turning tightly either direction.

No idea. I wish I had one. But in the aim of being helpful have you got new oil in it? Or have you checked the level?

Only bought it recently so nope not checked it myself but will be changing the oil in it on Saturday when I take it to work, any idea what grade oil I should be using?

The diff shouldn't make any noticeable sound whether it's Viscous or torsion LSD or an open dif. Are you sure it's not a noisy wheel-bearing?

Can't say I've ever heard my LSD, and I've had my car 6 years.

A failing dif would make noise but usually on deceleration rather than on cornering. Wheel bearings or half-shafts (is that's what they're called?) are much more likely.

Could the previous owner have fitted a clutch type LSD? They can make a variety of noises at low speeds.

If you do have a clutch LSD then I think you need to use different diff oil to a standard open/viscous/Torsen diff.

Just to let ya all know an oil change has fixed my issue, gave it a good long run last weekend, work and back through the week and another 150mile run today and as quiet as a mouse.
