As I begin my adventure with my MX-5 which websites should I sign up to?

mx-5oc.com? mx-5nutz? any more?

Also, is there anything I should know or do, other than finding a wet roundabout as I did last night...tongue out

The owners club seems to be a general one, nutz has more info about modifying (charging + turbos)

How about a driver training day with www.carlimits.com ? Excellent place to learn what the mx5 does on the limit.

Also a really good idea to get the geometry set up properly, http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/ I can't recommend that garage enough.

OC forum has a wealth of knowledge so just about any question you might have can be answered there. However, there are also a fair number of dicks on there so you will also get a lot of stupid answers and arguments from people who don't really know what you are talking about.

Nutz has a better mix of members imo. They are more into modifying as has been mentioned but they are also more likely to be enthusiasts who really know what they are talking about. There are far less arguments on there and you are far more likely to get a good, straightforward and correct answer.

This forum (PH) can also be a good source of info with answers to most common questions (and some rarer ones) but my recommendation would be to get friendly with us and the Nutz crowd. Introduce yourself on here and there, post some pictures of your car and tell us your plans and you'll soon have a load of new virtual-friends biggrin

What Laz said.

Plus, check out clubroadster.net and miata.net for the US angle. The MX-5 is hugely popular stateside and the result is that they know a thing or two about them over there!

Thanks for the replies. I'll get some photos posted up when I've gor broadband at home again. Currently giving the place a makeover (to say the least) and I've got rid of the internet at home for now.

Shouldn't I be clearing drainholes and plumping out rood seals too? I'll do some more research into this at a later date. Fortunately my roof seems ok, just get a wet right shoulder/arm when I brake after the car has been in the rain.

There is also the official Mazda site at www.mx-5.com. Lots of helpful people there.
