How much would a virtual concourse Mk1 fetch?

I'm going to be putting mine up for sale soon and am undecided as to how to prep it for sale.
Its an R-Limited which has had a recentish professional spray but has annoyingly picked up the odd nick here and there. Also the driver's side bolster has just started to wear through and the red leather seats are showing their years in the sun as it were. Either I could sell it as is, or I'm toying with putting 500 or so into it to get the seats professionally recovered and the paint corrected/detailed. I'd then clean the engine bay until its virtually immaculate prior to selling.
Its not completely original inside - has Momo wheel, chrome gearlever/handbrake rather than original wood, updated stereo etc - so its not an original R in that sense.
Aside from that the car is all up to date with servicing, got reams of bills and all old MOTs etc since import and is just on 120k kilometres.
The dandycars ones seem to sell for somewhere around 5.5/6 - though I do take on board they are backed by a warranty. So, sell as is for somewhere north of 3 or plough in 500 and hope to get over 4 for the right buyer. Would that be realistic?

They still fetch very good money. I put mine up for sale a week ago (considering my options) at between £3750 & £4250 depending on the website (it's a 96/P UK Merlot with 79k) in excellent condition (but not concourse!) and have had a fair few serious enquiries (and a number of time wasters).
A local specialist has a lower mileage one at £5k but having seen it, it is in not as good condition as mine.
I'd have every confidence of getting at least £3.5k for mine.

I just bought a exellent, I'd say almost mint condition '93 1.6 mk1 in red with 75k on the clock for £1850. Just a couple tiny parking dents on the exterior and mint roof and interior.A local specialist has a lower mileage one at £5k but having seen it, it is in not as good condition as mine.

Bearing in mind that it was private I would have expected to have paid in the region of £3000 at a "Specialist"!
I would ignore the overinflated priced at these so called specialists (all they do is buy private cars and add nearly 100% markup, the warranties are almost worthless) and go on similar cars advertised privately.
To my mind 3.5K is too much for a Mk1. Theres plenty of good cars out there for less.
