Alloy wheel refinishing...... colour?

I bought some mk1 wheels off of ebay recently that were an absolute bargain. They are original mk1 alloys that have been refinished in white. I wasn't 100% keen on the colour however they came with the tyres I was after that were barely worn and were a bargain so went for it anyway.




Well I've now completely gone off the white wheels and so am going to take the car to have the wheels refinished a different colour.

Not sure what colour to go for? Thoughts anybody? I am thinking maybe black or anthracite but not sure. Does anyone have any pics of theirs with dark coloured wheels?

p.s., anyone got any ideas about having one refurbished, after grinding one on a kerb the outer rim is now rugged and white how much would this cost to fix (considering i'm after a repalcement engine my budget is minimal!)

Think I might splash out on a set of these.... I assume these will fit? 15" x 6.5 with PCD 100 and offset of 40. With 195/50-15 Yokohama PS2's.

I reckon they would look pretty mean!

I have just bought a set of these (15" x 6.5) with Toyo T1-R's in 195/50

Can't wait for them to arrive, I'll post a pic as soon as they are fitted!

black or a dark grey looks good , not sure what mine are , mainly brake dust i think ....

Well the wheels are on and I think they look pretty smart! What do other people think? Think the next project will be to lower the car an inch or two.

I've now got a set of standard 14's refinished in white with some decent Yoko A539's if anybody is interested, make me an offer!

What sort of figure would you be looking for? I may well be interested, will do some photoshopping tonight and see what they "look like" on my car
