Just a quick question or two
1. What are sway bars and what are they for???
2. In the boot of my 2004 MX-5 there are two adjustable straps on the right hand side boot floor. They look like they are for something specific rather than just general, about a foot apart-just wondering what they are for???
Thanks and when will it stop raining!!!!!!

Sway bars are what the septics call anti-roll bars. They're a type of torsion spring that resists the tendency of a car to roll whilst cornering. Thicker bars can be bought as an after-market upgrade to provide a greater resistance to roll.

On the continent you have to carry a warning triangle by law in many countries.
I believe the straps are for securing it in the boot.

Aha! Thanks no wonder I couldn't find them, don't you just love the American language!!!! That has put my mind at rest about the straps in the boot, I couldn't find anything in the handbook about them. Another question(sorry!)there is a couple of blobs of white paint on the tonneau cover-it is vinyl I think-how is the best way to get them off without melting the cover please??? I've got a grille & mats from MX5parts coming out on monday,I can't wait......that is sooooooo sad!!!! nerd
